Hi I am Colin Munro and this is my personal site. I have had many interests over the years and had a varied career.
I originally studied film making and after graduating in 2002 I worked in the film industry for several years. I first worked for a company called Framestore which is a major visual effects company. While I was there I worked on some of the Harry Potter films and Troy with Brad Pitt as well as many other films, TV, shows and commercials.
In 2006 I started my own video production company with some friends from university called Quirky Motion. For the next few years I made music videos and corporate videos until deciding to do some traveling tin 2009.
I went to south America with the aim of spending a few months getting to know some extended family that I have there. My grandfather emigrated there as a child because his family were involved with building and running the railways. He eventually settled in Paraguay where my father was born. I ended up staying for 7 years!
During that time I pursued many projects in Paraguay, from importing beer to introducing donuts to the country. But I spent most of the time teaching English. As I started to develop my English teaching skills, as a means to an end initially, it was not long before I mixed it with my film making skills and started The English Language Club YouTube channel. This channel now has well over 100k subscribers from all over the world and is one of the most respected education sources on Pronunciation Phonetics and Grammar on YouTube.
Returning to the UK in 2016 I started working in eCommerce.
